Urgent Opening - Data stewardship - Bangalore - UK Shift

Responsibilities

• Data Stewardship & Lifecycle Management
• Serve as a Data Steward to oversee the day-to-day management of customer data assets, implementing governance policies at an operational level.
• Maintain Metadata and data dictionaries to ensure standard definitions are used consistently across all business units.
• Document and safeguard Data Lineage to ensure transparency in how customer records are transformed from source to final reporting.
• Advanced Data Quality Management (DQM)
• Establish and monitor Data Quality Metrics (e.g., accuracy, completeness, timeliness) based on specific business rules.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring data errors to isolate flaws in the information production flow.
• Execute Data Deduplication and enrichment to maintain a "single source of truth" for customer identities.
• Data Security, Privacy & Compliance
• Monitor data access controls to ensure sensitive customer information is only available to authorized personnel.
• Conduct regular Risk Assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in the data management chain.
• Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
• Act as a technical liaison between IT (custodians), senior management (owners), and business departments.
• Be part of Daily Stand-ups and cross-functional meetings to align on project blockers and ensure data initiatives meet business needs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Finance to understand their evolving data requirements.
• Data Literacy, Communication & Training
• Champion Data Literacy across the company by educating non-technical staff on how to interpret dashboards and apply data insights to daily decisions.
• Translate complex technical findings into actionable stories and clear visualizations for executive leadership.
• Develop and deliver Training Programs and SOPs

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• OR equivalent work experience
• Proven experience in automating data management processes, preferably in customer master data domain.
• Proficiency in data analysis, data validation, and data cleansing techniques.
• Familiarity with data integration and synchronization concepts.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and data governance principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• 3-4+ years of relevant industrial experience in driving data quality governance
