About this role
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead design, development and operation of real-time Voice AI & telephony systems.
- Work with Python, LiveKit, FreeSWITCH/Asterisk, SIP, GSM gateways and WebRTC.
- Integrate STT, TTS and LLM APIs for conversational AI applications.
- Manage call flows, routing, dialplans, session management and gateway integrations.
- Troubleshoot SIP/VoIP, latency, audio quality, reliability and concurrency issues.
- Drive scalability, monitoring, production support and permanent technical fixes.
- Review architecture/code, mentor engineers and coordinate technical delivery.
Preferred Candidate
- 4-5 years of backend/software engineering experience.
- Strong Python, asyncio, concurrency and event-driven systems knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Voice AI/voicebots, SIP, VoIP, FreeSWITCH/Asterisk and LiveKit.
- Good understanding of WebRTC, real-time audio, STT/TTS/LLM APIs.
- Strong debugging, system design and production troubleshooting skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and owning systems from design to production.
