Urgent Hiring - Buy Side Equity Dealer

The role requires a strong understanding of Indian equity markets, market microstructure, trading strategies and institutional dealing practices. The candidate will work closely with the CIO, Fund Managers, Research Analysts, brokers and Operations teams to support investment decisions and portfolio execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Execution & Dealing

• Execute equity trades across cash and derivatives markets, as permitted by investment mandates and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure best execution while minimising market impact, slippage and transaction costs.
• Utilise appropriate execution strategies, including VWAP, TWAP, POV and algorithmic trading.
• Manage large institutional orders while maintaining confidentiality and execution efficiency.

2. Market Intelligence & Investment Support

• Monitor market movements, liquidity, trading volumes, institutional flows and sector trends.
• Provide real-time market intelligence and actionable trading insights to Fund Managers.
• Identify liquidity opportunities, block/bulk deals and market developments relevant to portfolio execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with institutional brokers and trading counterparties.

3. Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations, internal investment guidelines, dealing policies and applicable risk limits.
• Monitor order execution, trade limits, market exposure and dealing-related operational risks.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, audit trails and dealing records.
• Adhere to best-execution standards, broker allocation policies and ethical dealing practices.

4. Trade Operations & Process Efficiency

• Coordinate with Operations, Compliance and Custodians for timely trade confirmation, allocation and settlement.
• Monitor execution quality and prepare transaction cost analysis (TCA) and dealing MIS.
• Support implementation and enhancement of Order Management Systems (OMS), dealing platforms and execution tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency through technology, automation and data analytics.

Candidate Profile

• 25 years of relevant experience in equity dealing, preferably with a Mutual Fund, PMS, AIF or institutional buy-side investment platform.
• Strong understanding of Indian equity markets, exchange trading mechanisms, liquidity and institutional execution.
• Hands-on experience with institutional trading terminals, OMS and algorithmic execution platforms.
• Knowledge of SEBI regulations and mutual fund dealing practices.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to perform under market pressure.
• Excellent communication, coordination and decision-making skills.
• Relevant NISM certifications as applicable to the role.
