About this role
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Unix/Linux Administrator with 2-5 years of experience in managing and supporting enterprise Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Unix platforms such as HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux, along with strong troubleshooting and system administration skills.
Roles Responsibilities - Administer, monitor, and maintain Unix/Linux servers in production environments.
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrade activities on HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux systems.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot OS, hardware, and application-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, file systems, permissions, and security policies.
- Perform backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting.
- Coordinate with application, database, network, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards.
Bachelor of Engineering
