Role Summary

Responsible for Linux shell scripting, cron job scheduling, batch job monitoring, troubleshooting job failures, and supporting production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Bash/Shell scripts.
• Create, manage, and monitor Cron jobs.
• Investigate job failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Validate job dependencies and execution sequences.
• Analyze Linux logs and system issues.
• Support production incidents and scheduled releases.
• Document job flows and recovery procedures.

Technical Skills

• Linux/Unix Administration
• Shell Scripting (Bash)
• Cron Job Scheduling
• grep, awk, sed, tail
• Process Monitoring
• File System Management
• Basic SQL knowledge

Key Expectations

• Understand end-to-end batch processing workflows.
• Quickly identify job execution issues.
• Coordinate with application and database teams.
• Prepare RCA and operational documentation.
