Ultrasonography Technician

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Perform routine ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, pelvic, obstetric (pregnancy), and other scans, as per competency and hospital protocols.

• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the process.

• Operate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment.

• Assist radiologists and consultants during specialized ultrasound procedures.

• Ensure correct patient identification and follow infection-control protocols.

• Maintain patient records, scan details, and imaging documentation.

• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.

• Ensure equipment cleanliness, functionality, and timely reporting of technical issues.

• Follow hospital policies, radiation-safety principles where applicable, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Job Requirements :

• 1-7 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician or Radiology Technician (USG/RT).
• Strong knowledge of sonography principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Certification from a recognized professional organization such as ARDMS or CCI.
