Position Role: UI/UX Designer (Consultant) Location: Remote Engagement Type: Contract / Consulting Commitment: Part-time or Project-Based (Flexible) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to help shape the user experience of our mobile healthcare applications used by patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. This is a hands-on consulting role where you will take ownership of the design process from user research and wireframing through high-fidelity UI design and interactive prototyping. The ideal candidate has experience designing healthcare or digital health products and understands how to create intuitive, accessible experiences for senior citizens and non-technical users. Key Responsibilities Design end-to-end mobile experiences for iOS and Android applications. Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and production-ready UI designs. Design experiences for remote patient monitoring, virtual care, messaging, scheduling, medication adherence, and care management workflows. Build and maintain reusable design systems and UI component libraries. Develop interactive prototypes to validate concepts and improve usability. Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation. Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles (WCAG standards). Design interfaces optimized for elderly users, focusing on: Large touch targets High contrast interfaces Readable typography Simplified workflows Reduced cognitive load Error prevention and recovery Participate in usability reviews and continuously improve user experiences based on feedback. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience designing mobile applications. Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped mobile products. Expertise in Figma, prototyping tools, and design systems. Experience designing for healthcare, digital health, telehealth, remote patient monitoring (RPM), CCM, or patient engagement platforms. Strong understanding of: User Experience Design Interaction Design Information Architecture Visual Design Accessibility Standards (WCAG) Experience designing for senior citizens, low-tech users, or accessibility-focused applications. Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in HIPAA-compliant healthcare environments. Experience collaborating with clinicians, care coordinators, or healthcare operations teams. Understanding of front-end development constraints and responsive design. Experience conducting usability testing and user research. Why Join us?
