Job Description:
UI Lead - React.js (Contract)
Location: Katy, Houston, TX (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Duration: 6-month contract (with potential to extend)
Overview:
We are now hiring a UI Lead to oversee the front-end development efforts of a high-impact application for a well-established energy software company based in Katy, Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience with React.js and a track record of delivering high-quality user interfaces in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small front-end team (React.js) in developing scalable, maintainable UI components.
- Set UI architecture direction and ensure adherence to design and coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with backend developers, UX designers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and manage technical delivery timelines.
- Work hands-on as needed to resolve technical challenges and accelerate delivery.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of overall front-end development experience.
- 3+ years leading teams using React.js (with strong command of hooks, context API, and state management).
- Strong experience integrating with REST APIs.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and component libraries.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
