Design-focused frontend engineer. You bring the design system to life - building pixel-perfect, responsive components that feel crafted, not templated. You work at the intersection of design and code across all product surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Implement UI components from design specs with pixel-level accuracy
- Build and maintain the component library and design-token integration
- Own responsive layouts, animations, micro-interactions, and visual polish
- Collaborate with designers on feasibility, interaction patterns, and design-to-code handoff
- Optimise rendering performance - bundle size, paint times, layout shifts
- Write clean, reusable, accessible front-end code (React/Next.js, CSS/SCSS)
- Strong CSS/SCSS skills - you can build complex layouts without reaching for a framework
- Proficiency in React and Next.js with TypeScript
- Eye for design - you notice when something is 2px off and it bothers you
- Understanding of design systems, tokens, and component architecture
- Experience with responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser testing
- Portfolio or examples showing design-quality front-end work
