UI Developer Intern

Company Description RidhzWorld Publishing is a Pune-based international publishing house focused on empowering young storytellers and first-time authors with end-to-end book, ebook, and audiobook solutions. Founded by child author and youth podcaster Ridhhaan Jaiin, the company offers a transparent and supportive publishing experience for families, schools, and debut writers seeking global reach. RidhzWorld guides authors from manuscript to marketplace with services such as story development, editing, design, printing, digital conversion, and distribution support, especially in children’s literature and youth-led projects. The company also runs the “Once Upon In Our Minds” international story writing competition for children aged 5–16, turning outstanding entries into published anthologies and offering select writers public recognition and media opportunities. In addition, RidhzWorld collaborates with schools, NGOs, festivals, and education-focused brands on co-branded contests, workshops, and storytelling campaigns that highlight student talent and build community engagement.

Role Description The UI Developer Intern will support the design and development of user interfaces for RidhzWorld’s digital platforms, such as websites, author dashboards, and competition portals. In this part-time hybrid role based in Pune City, the intern will work both on-site and from home, collaborating with designers, content teams, and developers to implement responsive, user-friendly layouts. Day-to-day tasks include translating wireframes and mockups into clean, standards-compliant code, testing UI components across devices and browsers, and refining interaction patterns based on feedback. The intern will help maintain and update existing interfaces, optimize page performance, and ensure a cohesive visual experience aligned with the brand. This role also involves documenting UI components, participating in review meetings, and suggesting improvements to enhance accessibility and overall user experience.

Qualifications

• Foundational front-end development skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building responsive user interfaces.
• Experience or coursework in modern UI frameworks or libraries (such as React, Vue, or Angular) and familiarity with component-based design.
• Basic understanding of UX principles, wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD), and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to use version control tools (such as Git), follow coding standards, and collaborate in a structured development workflow.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn quickly in a creative, youth-focused environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, IT, Design, or a related field.
• Good communication skills and comfort working in a hybrid setup with both independent tasks and team collaboration.
