Tube Mill Line Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Run the tube/roll-forming mill producing split-set tube to target volume and profile.
• Supervise mill operators, cut-off and forming crew and QA sampling.
• Control strip feed, roll-forming, weld (if applicable), slot forming, cut length and end preparation.
• Ensure split-set diameter, wall, slot geometry and holding-force specification is met.
• Manage tooling and roll changes and monitor tool wear.
• Track scrap, strip yield and speed loss.
• Enforce safe operation of the mill and cut-off.
• Coordinate galvanising handover for finished split sets.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
• Roll-forming / tube-mill training an advantage.
• 5+ years in tube milling, roll forming or pipe/section production, 2+ years supervising.
• Exposure to mining consumables / split sets a strong advantage.
• Roll-forming and tube-mill process control.
• Tooling / roll-set management.
• Dimensional and mechanical quality control.
• Line supervision.
• Safety leadership.
