About us:
Bion Transport Ltd is a Canadian trucking company based in Kelowna, British Columbia. We run a fleet of highway semi trucks on dedicated grocery distribution work for a major Canadian retailer, delivering from distribution centres to stores across the Okanagan and Lower Mainland, plus backhaul loads from local vendors. We are hiring a remote truck dispatcher in India to support our operations during Canadian (Pacific Time) hours.
Role & responsibilities:
- Plan and dispatch daily loads, backhauls and driver assignments for our fleet
- Track trucks in real time using ELD/telematics (Motive, Samsara) and keep customers updated on ETAs and delays
- Coordinate with drivers, distribution centre planners and vendors by phone, WhatsApp and email
- Monitor driver Hours of Service and compliance; flag idling, delays and exceptions
- Maintain trip sheets, driver logs and records in Google Sheets
- Handle breakdowns and on-road issues: arrange repairs, tire service or replacement trucks
- Prepare daily/weekly trip reports and support the billing team
Preferred candidate profile:
- 1-5 years of experience as a truck dispatcher for US or Canada trucking companies
- Familiar with ELD systems, load planning and Hours of Service rules
- Excellent spoken and written English; confident on calls with drivers and customers
- Good with Google Sheets/Excel, Gmail and WhatsApp
- Must be comfortable working the night shift (IST) on a permanent basis
- Own laptop, stable high-speed internet and power backup
