• We are seeking an Associate to support Treasury Operations and Cash Management activities across a complex banking environment. The role will focus on maintaining strong payment controls, managing bank account lifecycle activities, supporting treasury system administration, and strengthening governance over banking arrangements, authorized signatories and user access rights.
• This role is suitable for a candidate with practical experience in payments, banking operations, cash management or treasury operations who understands operational controls and can work directly with banks, internal stakeholders and service providers.

Your key responsibilities

Payment Controls & Treasury Operations

• Support daily treasury and payment operations across multiple banking partners and accounts.
• Apply payment governance standards, including maker-checker / four-eye principles and approval workflows.
• Support callback verification for payment instructions, bank detail changes and other sensitive requests.
• Monitor payment approval steps, segregation of duties and evidence retention requirements.
• Support sanctions screening and payment risk management processes where applicable.

Bank Account Management

• Maintain a central bank account inventory including account ownership, authorized signatories and user access records.
• Coordinate bank account openings, closures, mandate updates and account maintenance requests.
• Liaise with banks on documentation, account service queries and operational follow-ups.
• Support periodic review and recertification of signatories, users and banking entitlements.
• Maintain supporting documentation for audit and control purposes.

Treasury Management Systems

• Support use and administration of Kyriba or similar Treasury Management Systems.
• Assist with payment workflows, cash visibility, bank account management and reporting within the TMS.
• Support bank connectivity activities involving SWIFT, Host-to-Host, API, EBICS or similar channels.
• Help maintain user access controls and system permissions in line with governance requirements.

Bank Relationship & Documentation

• Act as an operational contact for banks and support resolution of service or documentation queries.
• Coordinate KYC, bank forms, account maintenance documents and mandate-related submissions.
• Support communication with banks on account opening, account closure and access change requests.

Governance, Controls & Reporting

• Support maintenance of treasury procedures, competency framework inputs and operating model documentation.
• Prepare MI and tracking reports on bank accounts, open actions, signatories, user access and control activities.
• Support internal audit, control testing and remediation activities related to treasury operations.

Your skills and experience

Must Have

• 4-6 years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, retail banking operations, corporate banking operations, payments operations or bank relationship management.
• Working knowledge of payment approval workflows, callback controls, invoice approval processes and operational risk controls.
• Experience with authorized signatory management, bank mandates, bank account opening / closure and user access changes.
• Familiarity with SWIFT and other bank communication channels or payment message formats.
• Strong control mindset, attention to detail and ability to maintain audit-ready evidence.

Preferred

• Hands-on exposure to Kyriba or another Treasury Management System.
• Understanding of SWIFT MT101, MT940, MT942 and ISO 20022 / XML payment or statement messaging.
• Experience dealing directly with multiple banks on account services, documentation and operational queries.
• Exposure to treasury transformation, bank connectivity or payment governance projects.
• Exposure on Retail banking, corporate banking operations, payments operations, treasury operations and cash management.
• Understanding of cash visibility, liquidity reporting and basic cash forecasting processes.

Hiring Preference

For a treasury operating model covering payment governance, bank account controls, signatory management and TMS usage, candidates from corporate banking cash management or treasury operations backgrounds should be prioritized. Retail banking operations candidates may also be suitable if they have strong exposure to payments controls, account maintenance, bank documentation and client / bank interaction.
