Location: Chennai

Reports To: Principal / Management

1. Job Purpose

To manage school transport operations, ensuring student safety, timely bus services, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with applicable regulations across all campuses.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Manage bus routes, schedules, pick-up/drop-off points, and daily transport operations.
• Supervise drivers, attendants, attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Ensure regular vehicle maintenance and timely renewal of permits, insurance, fitness certificates, and other statutory documents.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and transport budgets.
• Ensure student safety during boarding, travel, and dispersal.
• Handle parent complaints, transport issues, breakdowns, and emergencies.
• Maintain transport records and submit periodic reports to Management.
• Coordinate with Principals, campus administrators, and transport staff.
• Travel to various campuses as required to inspect vehicles and supervise transport operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transport safety regulations.

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate in any discipline; Transport Management qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school or educational institution.
• Experience in fleet management, route planning, and staff supervision.
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel.

4. Key Skills
