Trainer

Role & responsibilities

• Provide theoretical and practical training in phlebotomy and blood collection procedures.
• Demonstrate venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques.
• Train students on vacutainer tubes, order of draw, and sample collection procedures.
• Teach patient identification, patient preparation, and sample labeling.
• Explain specimen handling, transportation, storage, and rejection criteria.
• Train students in infection control, PPE usage, and biomedical waste management.
• Conduct hands-on practical sessions and evaluate students' performance.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and assessment reports.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs and patient safety standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong practical knowledge of phlebotomy procedures.
• Good teaching, communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection prevention.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and conduct practical demonstrations.
• Hospital or diagnostic laboratory experience preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience as a Phlebotomist, Lab Technician, Senior Phlebotomist, or Medical Laboratory Trainer are encouraged to apply.
