Trainer Retail/ Ecommerce

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical training on retail operations and e-commerce fundamentals.
• Train students on retail sales, customer engagement, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.
• Explain e-commerce business models, online marketplaces, product listing, order processing, and payment methods.
• Provide practical exposure to inventory management, stock handling, billing, invoicing, and order fulfillment.
• Train students in customer service, complaint handling, communication, and sales techniques.
• Familiarize students with platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and other relevant e-commerce tools.
• Teach basic computer applications, MS Office, and Excel for retail operations and reporting.
• Develop lesson plans, presentations, assignments, assessments, and practical activities.
• Conduct mock interviews, role plays, group discussions, and workplace-readiness sessions.
• Assess student performance, maintain attendance and training records, and submit regular progress reports.
• Coordinate with the placement team to prepare students for employment and support placement activities.
• Ensure training delivery aligns with the prescribed curriculum and industry requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of retail operations and e-commerce processes.
• Understanding of sales techniques, customer service, inventory management, and order processing.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Good verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to students from diverse educational backgrounds.
• Strong classroom management, mentoring, and student engagement skills.
• Ability to conduct practical demonstrations and activity-based learning sessions.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Relevant retail, e-commerce, sales, or training certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 23 years of relevant experience in retail operations, e-commerce, sales, customer service, or training.
• Prior experience in delivering vocational or employability skills training is preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in online marketplaces, retail stores, or warehouse operations will be preferred.
