Trainer Multi Speciality Coding

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HIM Coding Trainer to drive learning and development initiatives across coding operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Medical Coding, ENM IP/OP, ED Facility and Healthcare Information Management (HIM), with proven experience in training freshers, certified coders, and lateral hires. The role requires designing, developing, and delivering high-impact training programs that enhance employee performance and support organizational objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Coding Trainer.
• Strong knowledge of HIM Coding concepts and industry best practices.
• Extensive experience in ENM IP/OP & ED Facility and training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor both freshers and certified coders.
• Open to continuous learning and adopting new training methodologies.
• Must hold a valid certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Additional coding certifications will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and analyze the training needs of the organization and coding teams.
• Design and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with operational and business requirements.
• Create and maintain training manuals, learning materials, assessments, and reference guides.
• Deliver effective classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions.
• Develop specialty-specific curricula for freshers and customized learning paths for lateral hires.
• Ensure training content remains aligned with current coding guidelines, operational requirements, and client expectations.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and management teams to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training interventions.
• Manage training technologies, tools, and resources required for effective learning delivery.
• Monitor and drive training initiatives to improve coding accuracy, productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to coders for continuous professional development.
• Prepare and present training reports, metrics, and progress updates to stakeholders.

Required Competencies

• Strong understanding of Medical Coding, HIM, ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and IPDRG methodologies.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
• Proficiency in creating structured learning plans and performance improvement strategies.
