Job Title- Trade Management UI Engineer - FIC Shared Services, AVP

Location- Pune, India

Role Description

• The FIC Shared Services department is responsible for building cutting edge applications that are used across all FIC business units, driving consolidation and spearheading first class design and implementation.
• It is looking for an experienced and hands-on web front-end senior engineer to design and develop the next generation of web-based trade management tools to be used on a global basis by all business units. Experience of REACT is essential and an understanding of financial markets, workflows and driving firm-wide initiatives is preferred.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintainscalable, high-performance React applications.
• Deliver clean, reusable and production-quality code usingReact, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Contribute to front-end solution design, component architecture and development standards.
• Develop reusable components and libraries to improve consistency and engineering productivity.
• Integrate applications withRESTful APIs and enterprise services.
• Develop comprehensive unit and component tests usingJest, React Testing Library or equivalent technologies.
• Participate actively in technical design discussions, code reviews and engineering improvements.
• Identify and resolve application performance, stability and maintainability issues.
• Collaborate with back-end engineers, UX/design, QA, DevOps and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex development and production issues and contribute to sustainable fixes.
• Support the modernization of legacy applications and adoption of current front-end technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Take ownership of assigned components and features from design through production delivery and support.

Your skills and experience

• 8+ years of software development experience, with strong experience in front-end/web application development.
• Strong hands-on experience withReactand modern React development practices.
• Strong knowledge ofTypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience withHTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development.
• Good understanding of React Hooks, component design and reusable development patterns.
• Strong experience consuming and integratingREST APIs.
• Understanding of client-side architecture and common front-end design patterns.
• Experience withJest, React Testing Library or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience withGit, CI/CD and modern build/package-management tooling.
• Understanding of browser compatibility and front-end performance considerations.
• Awareness of secure web-development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop well-tested, maintainable and performant software.
• Experience working withinAgile development environments, including tools such as Jira.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
