Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Tool Design Engineer with strong knowledge of sheet metal components, progressive die design, and press tool design for our automotive manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop progressive dies, press tools, and tooling for sheet metal components.

- Prepare strip layouts, tool assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings.

- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews and optimize tool designs.

- Develop tooling solutions for blanking, piercing, bending, and forming operations.

- Prepare and modify 2D and 3D tool designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or VISI.

- Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and NPD teams during tool trials and development.

- Identify and resolve tooling and die-related problems.

- Support new product development, engineering changes (ECN), and design improvements.

- Ensure tool designs meet quality, productivity, and customer requirements.

Candidate Profile:

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in sheet metal tool design.

- Hands-on experience in progressive dies and stamping tools is preferred.

- Good technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

- Immediate joiners preferred.
