THERAPY ASSISTANT

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric therapists during developmental, behavioral, and functional assessments.
• Support implementation of individualized and group therapy programs for children.
• Conduct play-based and activity-oriented therapeutic tasks under supervision.
• Assist children with attention, emotional regulation, behavior, mobility, and participation during therapy sessions.
• Maintain a safe, child-friendly therapy environment and adhere to pediatric safety protocols.
• Support parent counseling and psycho-education sessions as guided by therapists.
• Maintain accurate therapy documentation, attendance records, and progress notes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary pediatric teams and assist in scheduling therapy sessions.
• Prepare and maintain therapy materials, toys, sensory equipment, and therapy aids.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards, confidentiality, and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in Science (B.Sc) - Psychology / Child Development / Life Sciences / Health Sciences or related discipline
• Freshers may apply; relevant experience in pediatric or child-focused settings will be an advantage
