Role Summary:
The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll inputs, attendance administration, employee benefits programs, statutory compliance, and payroll governance. The role requires strong expertise in payroll operations within IT Services and Professional Services organizations.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

Attendance Management

• Administer and maintain employee attendance records through HRMS and attendance management systems.
• Monitor attendance, leave records, shift schedules, holidays, and attendance exceptions.
• Validate attendance data and resolve discrepancies with employees and managers.
• Generate attendance reports and provide accurate inputs for payroll processing.

Payroll Management

• Collect, validate, and consolidate monthly payroll inputs.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing in coordination with HR BPs and finance teams.
• Review payroll outputs to ensure accuracy prior to salary disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax, Gratuity, LWF, and other applicable regulations.

Benefits Management

• Administer insurance and employee benefits programs.
• Coordinate enrollments, exits, claims management, and vendor interactions.
• Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation.

Compliance & Reporting

• Support internal and external audits.
• Prepare MIS, payroll analytics, and compliance reports.

Process Improvement

• Support HRMS enhancements and process automation initiatives.

Requirements:

Education

• MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
• Certification in Labour Laws, Payroll Management, Statutory Compliance, or Compensation & Benefits will be preferred.

Experience

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in Payroll, Benefits and HR Operations in IT services sector (projects and professional services)
• Experience working with benefits related vendors, HRMS platforms, and attendance management systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong payroll management expertise supporting IT Services project-based workforce and Professional Services employees, including payroll governance, variable pay administration, statutory compliance, and employee lifecycle transactions.
• Hands-on experience in attendance management and payroll input validation.
• Strong knowledge of statutory obligations and employee benefits administration.
• Proficiency in HRMS, payroll systems, and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder management, accuracy, confidentiality, and communication skills.
