Role & responsibilities

• Teach Science for Classes VIX as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons.
• Develop students' conceptual understanding through experiments, activities, demonstrations, and inquiry-based learning.
• Conduct and supervise Science laboratory activities while ensuring safety standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, question papers, and assessments.
• Regularly assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate remedial and enrichment support.
• Integrate digital tools, smart-board resources, and innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment, and academic progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and performance.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, professional-development programmes, and other academic activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, disciplined, and student-centred classroom environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc. / relevant Science degree with B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
• 25 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
• Experience teaching Classes VI–X is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the CBSE Science curriculum and assessment practices.
• Experience with laboratory work and practical-based learning.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart-classroom technology.
