Job Summary

Job Purpose To lead and manage the Mathematics Department for Grades 9 and 10, ensuring academic excellence, effective teaching practices, curriculum implementation, and improved student performance in alignment with CBSE standards. Location: Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Leadership - Lead, guide, and supervise Mathematics teachers handling Grades 9 and 10.
• Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum and completion of the syllabus within the academic schedule.
• Develop annual academic plans, lesson plans, and subject-wise teaching strategies.
• Monitor teaching quality through classroom observations and regular academic reviews.
• Student Performance & Assessment - Monitor students academic progress and identify learning gaps.
• Plan remedial classes, enrichment activities, and additional support for students.
• Analyse test results, periodic assessments, and board examination performance.
• Guide teachers in preparing question papers, worksheets, assignments, and practice materials.
• Department Management - Conduct regular departmental meetings and review academic progress.
• Coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal, and academic coordinators regarding departmental performance.
• Ensure consistency in teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and academic documentation.
• Mentor teachers and support their professional development.
• Examination & CBSE Compliance - Ensure adherence to CBSE academic guidelines and assessment policies.
• Prepare students for Class 10 CBSE Board Examinations through structured revision plans and practice tests.
• Maintain academic records, assessment reports, and departmental documentation.
• Student & Parent Engagement - Address students academic concerns and provide appropriate guidance.
• Coordinate with parents regarding student performance and improvement plans.
• Promote logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.

Educational Qualifications

• Masters degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics) from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and Mathematics syllabus for Grades 9 and 10.

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of teaching experience in Mathematics.
• Prior experience as a Mathematics HOD, Subject Coordinator, or Senior Mathematics Teacher is preferred.
• Experience in preparing students for Class 10 CBSE Board Examinations is essential.
