Job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons (grammar, prose, and poetry) for middle and secondary grades.
• Skill Development: Enhance students' vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening, and speaking skills through interactive activities.
• Student Assessment: Design and implement formative and summative assessments, evaluate assignments, and provide constructive feedback to boost student performance.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
• Extracurricular Activities: Organize and encourage student participation in literary events, debates, dramatics, and speech competitions.
• Parent Communication: Regularly update parents on student progress through Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and report cards.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English from a recognized university.
• Professional Degree: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is mandatory.
• Licensure: Qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II or a relevant state-level TET is often required for government and reputed private institutions.
• Communication: Excellent command of both written and spoken English is essential.
