Responsibilities:
Design at Runaway Bicycle begins with the fabric. You will drive the engagement with our weaver community aimed at innovations, development of fabrics already in use and managing costs. You will also be the conduit between other textile craftsmen like weavers, printers, dyers. Etc.
Create fabric designs and patterns for woven, knitted and printed materials for ready-to-wear and Home furnishing.
Create two dimensional print designs that can be used often as repeat design, Understanding of block print, screen, dabu and other crafts is a must.
Follow up with technical team regularly to ensure all plans are carried out efficiently.
Plan prototype sample process and ensure key milestones are met.
Work closely with weavers & printers.
Candidate must have:
A strong understanding and experience of colour, textures, craft and experience of using different textile processes and techniques.

At least 3-4 years of experience in developing fabric, Home furnishing, handloom in particular.
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail
Abilities to work with design software is a non-negotiable.
