About this role
Job Summary
Perform routine and type tests on power and distribution transformers as per applicable IS/IEC standards.
Responsibilities
- Insulation Resistance (IR) Test
- Winding Resistance Test
- Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) Test
- No-Load / Open Circuit Test
- Short Circuit / Load Loss Test
- High Voltage (HV) Test
- Induced Voltage Test
- Vector Group Test
- Magnetic Balance Test
- Oil BDV Test
- Prepare and verify Test Reports, Test Certificates, and inspection documents.
- Ensure testing is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Identify testing failures/deviations and coordinate with the Production and Quality teams for corrective action.
- Maintain proper records of test results and testing equipment.
- Ensure proper calibration and availability of testing instruments.
- Coordinate with customer/third-party inspectors during inspection and testing.
- Support final inspection and dispatch clearance of transformers.
- Follow all quality, safety, and testing procedures.
Requirements
- Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
