Experience: 2 to 5 years. Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Java + Playwright + API Automation). We are seeking a detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based UI automation using Playwright and API automation using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring high-quality releases through effective test strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright WebDriver with Java.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Build and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured.
- Validate REST APIs, including request/response validation, authentication, and error handling.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and track them to closure.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and review activities.
- Continuously enhance automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright WebDriver for UI automation.
- Experience in API testing using Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Experience with test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control systems (Git).
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in the financial domain or understanding of investment banking workflows.
