As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of banking application platforms by identifying, documenting, and supporting the resolution of software defects. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to validate functionality, improve product quality, and enhance the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute detailed test plans covering application functionalities, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows across Finacle and other banking application platforms.
- Utilize automation tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and similar technologies to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements, create test cases, and identify potential risks or gaps.
- Review logs, reports, and user feedback to investigate defects, application issues, and performance concerns.
- Record and communicate defects in a clear and structured manner, including steps required for reproduction and resolution.
- Promote quality-focused practices within the team through proactive testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep abreast of evolving testing practices, tools, and methodologies, and assess opportunities for their adoption.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the FinTech or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall approaches, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and exploratory testing.
- Experience working with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium is advantageous.
- Familiarity with API testing and cloud-based platforms is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality products and exceptional user experiences.
- Experience testing Finacle or FLEXCUBE Core Banking applications.
- Understanding of the financial services domain and applicable compliance standards, including PCI DSS.
- Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies such as LoadRunner and JMeter.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
