Test Lead - Automation

Job Summary

Role Summary: We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, Database Testing and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality across UI, APIs, and backend systems while contributing to automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted quality engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform UI, API, and database validation to ensure application quality.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (Python/PyTest or TypeScript).
• Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Write SQL queries to validate backend data, transformations, and business rules.
• Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Support test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release sign-off.
• Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor to improve testing efficiency and productivity.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and test design techniques.
• Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with REST API testing, authentication methods (OAuth/JWT), and JSON/XML validation.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and stored procedures.
• Minimum 3 years of automation experience using Playwright and Python/PyTest or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM), reusable frameworks, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, and defect management tools.
• Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for test case generation, automation scripting, analysis, and documentation.
