Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• CASA - Savings and Current Accounts account opening, modification, closure and account maintenance
• Customer/account relationship and KYC-related validations
• Term Deposits / Fixed Deposits, including creation, renewal, premature closure and maturity
• Interest calculation, accrual and posting
• Deposit products, rates and related parameters
• Transactions such as cash/transfer deposits and withdrawals
• Account balance, transaction history and statement validations
• Charges, fees, tax/TDS and applicable deductions
• Standing instructions and recurring deposit-related functionality, where applicable
• Validation of interest, maturity amount, charges and accounting entries
• Understanding of relevant interfaces/integration points with other banking modules and channel
• Ability to understand functional requirements and prepare detailed functional test scenarios and test cases
• Execute test cases across positive, negative, boundary and end-to-end scenarios
• Validate transaction processing, balances, interest calculations and expected system/accounting outcomes
• Good understanding of the defect management lifecycle, including defect logging, categorisation, tracking, retesting and closure
• Ability to capture and maintain test evidence/screenshots/logs as prescribed by the project
