Test Engineer (Telematics)

xperienced Telematics Validation Engineer to support functional validation, connected vehicle services testing, and issue resolution across multiple vehicle platforms. The role requires strong expertise in vehicle diagnostics, log analysis, ECU activities, and cross-functional collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform functional validation of Telematics (TCU) features across multiple vehicle platforms.Validate connected vehicle services, including Mercedes me remote functions and related remote services.Execute ECU flashing, software updates, and variant coding activities.Perform provisioning and configuration activities for TCU systems.Analyze CAN logs to investigate infotainment, telematics, and vehicle-level issues.Support troubleshooting of customer-critical and production issues through structured root cause analysis.Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot infotainment and telematics test benches.Collaborate with development, integration, backend, and validation teams for issue resolution and release validation.Participate in vehicle-level testing to verify feature functionality, performance, and stability.Support internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams with ad-hoc technical requests related to connectivity, telematics services, feature validation, log analysis, and investigations.Track defects in JIRA and provide clear, timely validation reports.Required Skills and Experience3 to 6 years of experience.Hands-on experience in infotainment and telematics validation in automotive environments.Strong understanding of connected vehicle architecture and remote services workflows.Practical experience with ECU flashing and variant coding.Proficiency in CAN diagnostics and log analysis.Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities for production and field issues.Experience in test bench setup, maintenance, and debugging for automotive ECUs.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams.Familiarity with defect management and reporting tools, especially JIRA
