Test Engineer ( Payments)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Test Cases and Test Scenarios based on business requirements.
• Execute Functional, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
• Validate payment workflows, collections processes, and banking integrations.
• Perform basic API testing and database validation.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using Defect Management tools.
• Ensure successful test execution and quality deliverables.
• Prepare and share daily status reports and project progress updates.
• Coordinate with Development, Business, and QA teams for defect resolution.
• Provide regular updates to Onsite and Offshore Test Managers.

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in Functional and Integration Testing.
• Basic knowledge of API Testing (Postman) and Database Testing (SQL).
• Experience in defect tracking and defect lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of STLC and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Payments, Collections, or Banking domain.
• Knowledge of banking integrations and transaction processing systems.
• Exposure to payment gateways and financial applications.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
