Test Automation Manager - Salesforce

Job Description

Lead a team of 15 to 40 testers and own functional quality governance and test automation direction

across projects in a Programme. We need a Test Manager with strong business and domain testing

logic, backed by practical automation framework knowledge.

Requirements (Must Have):

• 10 to 15 years in software testing, including 5+ years in test lead / test management roles

• Strong Functional QA / Manual Testing background with sound business and domain testing

logic (domain agnostic)

• Hands-on test automation experience: able to design, review and guide frameworks (UI and

API) and integrate them with CI/CD

• Proven experience leading and mentoring teams of 15 to 40 across multiple projects

• Strong in test strategy, planning and functional governance (traceability, defect management,

quality gates)

• Experience with Agile and DevOps; strong stakeholder management and communication

Key Responsibilities:

• Own test strategy, test plans and functional test governance across projects and workstreams

• Guide the team on business-driven test design, regression and UAT support

• Set the automation roadmap and guide framework design, standards and CI/CD integration

• Manage delivery, estimation, resourcing, risks and escalations to ensure timeliness and

quality

• Manage clients, stakeholders, offshore teams and 3rd parties; provide regular status and

quality metrics

• Mentor and develop the team across functional and automation skills; drive continuous

improvement

Skills Required:

• Test management tools and ALM / JIRA (traceability, execution, defects, reporting)

• Automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured or Postman, with

scripting in Java, Python or JavaScript

• Delivery across Functional, Non-Functional, Automation and Web Services Testing

• Strong analytical skills and test metrics / KPI reporting

Good to Have:

• Working awareness of AI / GenAI-assisted testing tools

• Exposure to financial services (Insurance, Life & Pensions, Wealth, Banking)

• Knowledge in Sales-force and Marketing Cloud.

• ISTQB / ISEB certification
