Job Summary
Enforge Energies Private Limited is looking for a high-energy, field-oriented B2B Sales & Business Development Manager to build the market for 6 mm and 8 mm biomass pellets across Pune and Mumbai regions.
This is a new customer acquisition / hunter sales role, not a desk-based lead-coordination position.
The selected candidate will be responsible for independently identifying prospects, reaching decision-makers, conducting customer visits, qualifying applications, coordinating paid trials, negotiating commercial terms, securing orders, ensuring collections and converting customers into recurring monthly buyers.
Target Customers
Hotels & resorts | Banquet halls | Restaurant chains | QSRs | Central kitchens | Caterers | Cloud kitchens | Institutional kitchens | Hospitals | Colleges & hostels | Industrial canteens | Community kitchens | Food-processing units | Sweets/farsan/namkeen manufacturers | Commercial-kitchen equipment suppliers | Biomass stove/burner manufacturers | Fuel dealers & distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and continuously expand a territory-wise database of qualified prospects.
- Identify and connect with owners, purchase managers, executive chefs, engineering heads, facility managers and other decision-makers.
- Generate business independently through cold calling, field visits, referrals, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and channel partners.
- Conduct minimum 20 meaningful customer visits per week.
- Understand the customer's existing fuel, consumption, equipment, operating cost and technical suitability for biomass pellets.
- Coordinate technical site assessments with Enforge/equipment partners where required.
- Generate and execute paid pellet trials at technically suitable customer locations.
- Record trial consumption, operating performance, ash, labour requirement and customer feedback.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate within approved pricing, margin and credit guidelines.
- Convert successful trials into repeat orders and recurring monthly supply arrangements.
- Secure POs, coordinate dispatch requirements and follow up until payment collection.
- Monitor customer inventory and proactively plan replenishment before stock-out.
- Develop partnerships with biomass stove/burner manufacturers, kitchen-equipment companies, dealers and service technicians.
- Develop suitable regional dealers/distributors where route economics justify local inventory.
- Maintain complete CRM records covering prospects, meetings, quotations, trials, orders, collections and next actions.
- Submit daily activity updates, weekly pipeline reviews and realistic sales forecasts.
- Report competitor activity, market pricing, customer objections and emerging opportunities.
- Never make unsupported technical, environmental, fuel-saving or commercial claims.
Performance Expectations
Daily/Weekly: 15–20 purposeful prospect/decision-maker outreach attempts per day; minimum 20 meaningful customer visits and 8 qualified decision-maker meetings per week; minimum 2 technical assessments and 1 paid-trial opportunity per week.
First 30 Days: Map 150+ target establishments, connect with 40+ relevant decision-makers, complete 10+ qualified meetings, generate at least 3 technically suitable trial opportunities and develop 3+ equipment/channel relationships.
Within 60 Days: Complete at least 5 paid trials, convert minimum 2 customers into repeat buyers and establish a credible qualified pipeline across hospitality, banquet and commercial-kitchen segments.
Within 90 Days: Develop approximately 4–6 recurring customers, establish 5–8 MT/month recurring sales run-rate, target 60%+ trial-to-second-order conversion, and create a scalable Pune territory with an initial Mumbai-region pipeline.
Targets are performance benchmarks and may be refined based on territory potential, customer application and management-approved commercial strategy.
Candidate Profile
- 3–7 years of successful B2B field-sales/business-development experience.
- Strong preference for candidates from biomass fuels, boilers, burners, LPG/PNG, industrial fuels, commercial kitchens, hospitality supplies, energy solutions or industrial consumables.
- Demonstrable record of personally acquiring new customers, not merely servicing existing accounts.
- Existing relationships with hotel purchase teams, chefs, facility/engineering teams, caterers, industrial canteens or commercial-kitchen companies are advantageous.
- Strong cold-calling, prospecting, field-visiting, negotiation and follow-up capability.
- Ability to understand basic technical applications and coordinate trials.
- Commercial discipline regarding pricing, margins, credit and collections.
- Comfortable using CRM and maintaining accurate pipeline data.
- Strong Marathi and Hindi communication with working English.
- Valid driving licence and personal two-wheeler/suitable travel arrangement preferred.
- Must be willing to travel extensively across Pune, PCMC and Mumbai regions.
Who We Are Looking For
We want a hunter, not an order taker.
The ideal candidate is energetic, persistent, commercially disciplined, technically curious and comfortable entering a market from the ground up. The person must be willing to personally find prospects, reach decision-makers, visit customer sites, create trials, negotiate orders and remain accountable until repeat business and payment realisation.
Candidates who depend primarily on company-generated leads should not apply.
