Territory Manager (STEM) - Office of Outreach
Location: New Delhi
Department: Office of Outreach
Reports To: Director & Head
Role Type: Full-time [Permanent]
Experience: 6-8 years
Job Summary
Ashoka University is seeking a partnerships professional to build a pan-India network of STEM coaching partners and recruit students for its undergraduate science programmes in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Environmental Sciences.
You will identify national and regional coaching chains, build relationships with their leadership and centres, and turn these connections into sustained student engagement. The focus is on reaching science-stream students, particularly those preparing for JEE and other science entrance examinations, and helping them explore science education and research at Ashoka.
This role offers ownership of a focused recruitment channel, from identifying prospective partners to supporting students through applications and enrolment. It will suit someone who understands the coaching ecosystem, enjoys opening new relationships and can turn a partnership plan into measurable results.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build coaching partnerships across India
- Map and prioritise national coaching chains, regional networks and specialist STEM coaching institutes based on their student profile, reach and potential for collaboration.
- Build relationships with founders, leadership teams, academic heads and centre managers. Develop engagement plans at both chain and centre level, with clear activities, timelines and follow-up.
- Maintain active partnerships and expand successful collaborations across cities and centres.
- Create meaningful engagement with science students
- Work with partners to organise student and parent sessions, faculty-led science workshops, webinars and admissions guidance activities, aligned with coaching and examination schedules.
- Explain Ashoka's science programmes and academic pathways clearly, helping students and families understand how these connect with their interests and aspirations.
- Equip partner counsellors and academic teams with accurate programme and admissions information so they can guide interested students.
- Drive applications and enrolments
- Build and nurture a pipeline of interested students through partner networks, with timely follow-up from initial enquiry to application and enrolment.
- Coordinate with Admissions, faculty and regional outreach teams to answer student queries and deliver partner activities effectively.
- Track active partners, student enquiries, application starts, submissions and enrolments. Use these results to improve engagement and prioritise partnerships.
- Manage partner records, outreach schedules and travel plans independently, working closely with the Regional Manager.
What we are looking for
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in partnerships, business development, student recruitment or outreach within education, coaching or test preparation.
- Demonstrated success in building institutional relationships and converting them into sustained engagement or student recruitment outcomes.
- A strong understanding of the JEE and STEM coaching ecosystem. Experience working with coaching chains across multiple centres or regions is especially relevant; an established network will be an advantage.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent; a master's degree will be an advantage. Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence engaging senior decision-makers as well as centre teams.
- Clear, persuasive communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to engage students and parents.
- The ability to understand and explain science programmes and career pathways accurately, with input from academic teams.
- Strong planning, disciplined follow-up and comfort using recruitment data to assess progress. Initiative and accountability when managing partnerships independently.
Who You Are
- You are a strong relationship builder who can build and manage partnerships with coaching institutions across India.
- You are a confident communicator who can engage effectively with students, parents, counsellors, and academic teams.
- You are proactive and target-oriented, with the ability to build pipelines and follow through to applications and enrolments.
- You are organised and independent, able to manage multiple partnerships, activities, travel, and follow-ups effectively.
