Teradata Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer with 5-7 years of expertise in data warehousing and strong hands-on experience in SQL and Teradata utilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions in a Teradata environment

.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures in Teradata.
• Design and implement efficient ETL processes using Teradata utilities.
• Work with large-scale data warehouses to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools like BTEQ, MLOAD, and TPT.
• Optimize query performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data teams to understand requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in Teradata development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning).
• Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities:
• BTEQ (Basic Teradata Query)
• MLOAD (MultiLoad)
• TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, SCDs).
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting (added advantage).
• Experience with data modeling concepts.
