Tender & Contracts Specialist - Oil & Gas Drilling Rigs OEM

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end tender management, commercial bid preparation, contract review, and contract administration for an Oil & Gas Drilling Rigs OEM. The role focuses on timely and compliant bid submissions, commercial risk management, and coordination with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate tenders from ONGC, Oil India Limited, other NOCs, private operators, and drilling contractors.
• Review RFQs, RFPs, ITTs, technical specifications, commercial terms, and tender requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Finance, QA/QC, and Sales teams for bid preparation and submission.
• Prepare commercial proposals, pricing schedules, compliance matrices, and tender documentation.
• Manage e-tendering portals, pre-bid queries, clarifications, and submission deadlines.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, payment terms, warranty clauses, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and coordinate with Legal and management for approvals.
• Support commercial negotiations, contract amendments, and post-award contract administration.
• Track EMDs, bank guarantees, bid validity, delivery milestones, and contractual obligations.
• Prepare tender trackers, MIS reports, and management dashboards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-10 years of experience in tendering, bid management, commercial proposals, or contract administration.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, drilling rigs OEM, heavy engineering, industrial equipment manufacturing, or EPC.
• Knowledge of e-tendering portals, commercial terms, contract documentation, and pricing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience handling equipment-supply tenders for drilling rigs, oilfield equipment, or heavy machinery manufacturers.
