Teller - Silchar

A Teller is responsible for handling daily customer transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash operations, and delivering excellent service at the branch.

1. Cash Handling & Transactions

• Accept deposits, withdrawals, money transfers, and loan payments.
• Cash cheques and issue savings withdrawals.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift.
• Count and package currency and coins as per guidelines.

2. Customer Service

• Assist customers with queries on accounts, deposits, and banking products.
• Resolve customer issues politely and professionally.
• Guide customers in using ATMs, digital banking, and selfservice banking tools.

3. Account Services

• Support opening of new accounts including savings, current, and other variants.
• Assist with closing accounts, issuing debit cards, and ordering cheque books.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions.

4. Compliance & Security

• Follow all internal controls, branch policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Identify and report suspicious or fraudulent activities.

5. Operational Support

• Perform routine tasks like filing, record maintenance, and handling branch mail.
• Assist in vault operations and foreign currency transactions (where applicable).
• Ensure timely completion of all teller line processes.
