Telecom Engineer

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree/Diploma in telecommunications engineering, Electrical or Civil engineering or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, networking, Wireless(4G/5G) or infrastructure projects
• Experience in project coordination/project management
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOQs, specifications and project documents
• Experience in dealing directly with clients/customers and subcontractors
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required
• Valid driving license would be an advantage

Key responsibilities

• Manage telecommunications and fiber optic projects/Wireless Projects from planning through completion
• Coordinate site activities, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Liaise professionally with clients/customers and attend project meetings
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and deadline
• Material reconciliations
• Conduct site visits if necessary
• Follow up on approvals, work orders, delivery notes. GRNs, and project documentations
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to management and clients
• Troubleshoot technical and site-related issues and coordinate corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
• Prepare quotations/variations where required and identify additional works or material.
