Role Summary:
Responsible for Tekla modeling, detailing, and clash checking for steel structures. Prepares and checks fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings, and coordinates with internal and client stakeholders to resolve design issues.
What Youll Do:
- Perform Tekla modeling and detailing of steel structures
- Prepare and check General Arrangement (GA), erection, and fabrication drawings
- Generate Tekla reports, NC files, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Identify and check clashes in steel structures
- Coordinate with internal technical SPOC and client engineers to resolve design discrepancies via RFIs
- Upload Tekla models, final drawings, and deliverables to FTP server
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Experience as a Tekla modeler and detailer
- 5+ years of Tekla modeling and detailing experience for steel structures
- Strong knowledge of steel connections, fabrication processes, and erection sequences
- Ability to read structural and architectural drawings
- Preparation and checking of GA, erection, and fabrication drawings
- Experience generating Tekla reports (assembly list, bolt list, part discrete list, etc.)
- Ability to generate NC files, MTOs, and BOMs
- Good knowledge of structural steel design principles and standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Exposure to other design software such as AutoCAD
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
