This role is responsible for transforming emerging technologies and engineering innovations into scalable, reliable production solutions. You’ll lead technology transfer initiatives from early validation through full-scale manufacturing implementation. Working across R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, legal, and business teams, you’ll ensure technical knowledge moves effectively from development into operations. The position combines process engineering, project management, technical documentation, training, risk management, and continuous improvement. You’ll help optimize manufacturing processes, resolve technical challenges, and establish the controls needed to consistently meet demanding quality standards. The role offers exposure to international teams and opportunities to support process benchmarking and technology implementation across locations. It is well suited to an engineer who enjoys complex technical environments and wants to turn innovation into measurable operational and business impact.
Accountabilities:: Lead technology transfer projects from concept validation through successful implementation and ramp-up in full-scale production environments.
Develop and execute comprehensive technology transfer plans, including project timelines, resources, milestones, dependencies, risk mitigation, and implementation activities.
Coordinate closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure effective transfer of technical knowledge and processes.
Translate technical findings and development outcomes into clear manufacturing specifications, documentation, procedures, and actionable production requirements.
Support the development, optimization, and adjustment of manufacturing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, scalability, and operational reliability.
Identify critical technical process parameters and implement controls or improvements designed to reduce manufacturing defects and meet stringent quality requirements.
Provide technical training and ongoing support to operators and production teams when introducing new machinery, technologies, processes, or updated standard operating procedures.
Identify technical and operational challenges throughout implementation, develop practical solutions, and proactively address risks that could affect production or project outcomes.
Collaborate with legal and business stakeholders on intellectual property protection, licensing activities, technology partnerships, and related initiatives.
Support international process benchmarking and documentation activities, including overseas travel when required.
Maintain compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, technical standards, product safety requirements, environmental requirements, and occupational health and safety policies.
Lead or participate in routine safety activities, including toolbox talks, and verify that appropriate personal protective equipment and safety practices are in place.
Manage multiple technology transfer initiatives simultaneously, using structured project management methods to maintain priorities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help establish repeatable processes that strengthen technology adoption, manufacturing performance, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technology transfer, R&D, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience successfully transferring complex technologies, processes, or products from development environments into production operations.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, quality systems, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Practical knowledge of critical process parameters and their application to defect prevention, manufacturing consistency, and quality assurance.
Experience developing and delivering operator training when introducing new equipment, manufacturing processes, technologies, or revised standard operating procedures.
Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate resources, track milestones, mitigate risks, and deliver against deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineering, manufacturing, operational, and business audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions while also operating independently and taking ownership of technology transfer activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Familiarity with dry transformer manufacturing, processes, and technology is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP, particularly the PP (Production Planning) module , is a plus.
Understanding of international product safety and technical quality standards is advantageous.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally for process benchmarking, technical documentation, and technology transfer activities.
