JOB DESCRIPTIONS : Technical Information specialist

Responsibility

Produce pedagogic, visually oriented, technical information to help the mechanic to carry out

work on vehicles and components in a safe and quality assured way.

To create documents, and add product descriptions on vehicle- and component level.

Maintain existing technical information, based on input from user feed-back, running design

changes, and other maintenance activities.

Follow established guidelines for technical documentation.

The Technical Information Specialist must possess a technical knowledge that makes it possible to

create information for the customer so that neither product nor person comes to any harm.

To collect material and service information necessary for production of information.

Secure reusing of information.

Additional responsibilities can be given on a case by case basis.

Authority

Create the technical information content, and approve for distribution.

Update and replace existing information.

Plan and manage work request to consultants.

Review work from consultant before distribution takes place.

Store completed illustration, animations and photos.

Store completed technical documentation in.

Additional authorities can be given on a case by case basis.

Qualification

Vehicle mechanical, vehicle electrical or media education.

PC competence.

English, written and spoken.

Needed systems and product knowledge.

Ability to create visually focused technical information (illustrations &text) with technical manner

and have good sense of technical and pedagogic images layout.

Knowledge on how to address the information users with a relevant language.

Knowledge of using illustrations and photo-editing software.

• To create documents Driver/Owner manual, Warranty manual and add product descriptions on vehicle- and component level..
• Maintain existing technical information, based on input from user feed-back, running design changes, and other maintenance activities.
• Follow established guidelines for technical documentation.
• The Technical Information Specialist must possess a technical knowledge that makes it possible to create information for the customer so that neither product nor person comes to any harm

• Should have very strong command in English, written and spoken. (British English and US English )
