Provides intermediate technical expertise on the development and support of all activities, processes, and tools used for assessing, validating, and ensuring the vulnerability and integrity of systems, architectures, and configurations.
Role Overview
Supports the implementation and maintenance of information security policies, standards, and procedures. Assists in monitoring security controls and performing basic risk assessments to protect enterprise systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Assists in maintaining and updating security policies, standards, and procedures under guidance from senior team members. Ensures documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Monitors security alerts and reports on potential risks or compliance gaps. Escalates issues to senior analysts for review and resolution.
- Supports basic security assessments and data reviews to identify vulnerabilities. Helps prepare documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Responds to routine inquiries regarding security policies and practices. Provides clear and accurate information to internal partners as directed.
- Learns global regulatory requirements and assists in applying them to security processes. Participates in training and awareness activities to build expertise.
- Contributes to team projects and initiatives focused on improving security posture. Completes assigned tasks on time and with attention to detail.
- Develops understanding of information security concepts, tools, and best practices. Stays informed about emerging threats and industry trends.
- Performs additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field. Graduate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Computer Science is preferred but not mandatory.
Location
This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
