About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Kanerika Inc. This leadership role requires a blend of technical expertise in software development and data engineering, along with strong project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, drive innovative data solutions, and contribute to our company's growth in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 8 to 15 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master role.
• Prior experience as a software developer or data engineer, with proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python, SQL, or others.
• Strong technical background in Data Engineering, including experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification is mandatory.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, SDLC, project planning, risk management, and delivery processes.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, leadership abilities, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI projects is considered an advantage.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software and data engineering projects on time and within scope.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective technical and data solutions.
• Own and oversee the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile and Scrum best practices.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and demonstrations.
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Manage task breakdowns, sprint tracking, effort estimation, resource allocation, and project timelines to maintain progress and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Developers, Architects, and Product teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
• Drive projects involving data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data platforms, data warehouses, and data modernization initiatives.
• Monitor project and engineering progress using tools like JIRA or equivalent Agile project management platforms.
• Ensure best practices in DevOps, data quality, testing strategies, deployment, and release management are implemented and followed.
