About the Role: As a
Technical Product Manager – Billing Platform , you will own and manage complex, business-critical billing platform products that align with organizational strategy, system reliability, and customer needs. This role is responsible for the full product lifecycle, including product vision, roadmap, technical delivery, and stakeholder alignment. You will serve as the
Product Owner for an Agile scrum team , ensuring business requirements are translated into clear, prioritized backlog items aligned with system stability, scalability, and business value. The role partners closely with Solution Architecture and Engineering to deliver resilient billing capabilities while supporting critical billing processes. Success is measured by delivery of high-quality platform capabilities that meet business objectives, achieve customer satisfaction, and maintain strong technical performance and operational reliability.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle by defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business and technical goals.
- Translate product strategy into detailed features and user stories, managing and prioritizing the product backlog for Agile development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to coordinate releases and ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
- Monitor product performance and quality in production, addressing defects and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure product quality by partnering with QA to review and validate test coverage for critical billing, payment, and end of the day workflows.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related work experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of product management experience in an Agile software development environment.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in technical writing, solution engineering, software development, or technical architecture within large-scale platforms.
- Strong ability to balance business priorities, technical feasibility, and operational risk.
Must Have Skills:
- Agile and Scrum Methodologies (Product Owner, Backlog Management, Scrum Practices)
- Technical Writing and Requirements Elicitation
- Agile Project and Backlog Management Tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Cross-functional collaboration and successive elaboration (Initiatives, Features, User Stories)
- Product and Project Leadership for large-scale, complex initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive?level communication
- Platform-level technical understanding (APIs, integrations, performance, architecture)
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience using GitLab, SQL, and data analysis tools
- Working knowledge of Java, C, C++, or Oracle PL/SQL ability to analyze and change code
- Ability to utilize AI to advance job duties (Claude, OpenAI, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with telecom billing platforms, including rating, invoicing, and accounts receivable
- Familiarity with batch processing and end of the day workflows in high volume systems
- Experience assessing production risk and supporting high availability systems
- Strong prioritization and stakeholder management skills in complex environments
- Demonstrated expertise using JIRA to manage backlogs, prioritize work, track delivery, and collaborate with cross functional teams
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or PMI ACP (preferred) .
