Role Purpose
We are looking for a technically strong, customer-facing pre-sales professional who can engage with prospective customers, understand their operational and automation challenges, and translate those requirements into practical, technically sound solutions using Anmeda's products, engineering capabilities, and industrial automation expertise. The role will work at the intersection of sales, product, engineering and customer teams and will be responsible for converting business problems into clear solution concepts, architectures, scope and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Discovery & Requirement Understanding: Lead technical discussions with customers to understand existing equipment, PLC/HMI/SCADA landscape, data flows, compliance requirements, operational pain points, digitalization objectives and integration needs.
• Solution Design: Develop solution concepts and high-level architectures covering equipment upgrades, data acquisition, data centralization, supervisory systems, reporting, integration and compliance requirements.
• Product Positioning: Map customer needs to Anmeda offerings such as RetroN21, PharmaSuite/iMEx modules, equipment upgrade services and related automation/digitalization solutions.
• Technical Proposals: Prepare solution notes, technical scope, architecture diagrams, assumptions, exclusions, implementation approach, bill of materials inputs and effort estimates in coordination with engineering and commercial teams.
• Demos & Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, technical presentations and workshops for customer engineering, automation, IT, quality, operations and management teams.
• Site Assessments: Participate in plant/site visits to assess machines, controls, interfaces, network readiness, data availability and upgrade complexity.
• Integration Planning: Define appropriate interfaces with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA/DCS, historians, databases and enterprise applications using technologies such as OPC/OPC UA, industrial protocols, APIs and SQL.
• Compliance Solutioning: Understand and articulate requirements related to audit trails, electronic records/e-signatures, user management, data integrity, backup/recovery and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Sales Support: Support opportunity qualification, technical objection handling, tender/RFQ responses, proof-of-concept discussions and customer evaluation processes.
• Internal Handover: Ensure a structured handover of requirements, commitments, assumptions and proposed architecture to delivery/product teams after order closure.
• Competitive Understanding: Maintain awareness of relevant industrial automation and manufacturing software platforms from Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA, Ignition and other ecosystem players, and clearly position Anmeda's differentiated value.

Required Technical Competencies

• Good working knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial communication networks.
• Hands-on or strong prior exposure to platforms such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Honeywell or equivalent.
• Understanding of industrial protocols and connectivity such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, OPC/OPC UA and related interfaces.
• Exposure to databases, SQL, historians, APIs, server/client architecture, virtualization and basic OT/IT networking concepts.
• Ability to understand machine control architectures and assess retrofit/upgrade requirements for legacy and modern equipment.
• Exposure to pharmaceutical/life-sciences manufacturing, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, data integrity or GxP environments is strongly preferred.
• Ability to prepare and explain technical architectures, process flows, scope documents and proposals to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• 5-8 years of total experience, with a meaningful portion in industrial automation engineering, solution engineering, application engineering or technical pre-sales.
• Experience interacting directly with customers and converting ambiguous requirements into defined technical solutions.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, process manufacturing or machine automation will be an advantage.
