DevOps Engineer:
Role summary
Build the pipelines, automation and monitoring that move database and application changes safely through every environment, up to production cutover.
Build the pipelines, automation and monitoring that move database and application changes safely through every environment, up to production cutover.
Responsibilities
- Build CI/CD pipelines for database code, application changes and infrastructure code.
- Add DevSecOps controls: code and security scanning, secrets handling and approval gates.
- Automate environment promotion (Dev, SIT, UAT, Stage, Prod) and the cutover runbook steps.
- Set up monitoring and alerting (uptime, replication lag, errors) with alerts to PagerDuty and email.
- Automate deployments, rollbacks and test runs with the QA team.
- Keep this projects code in step with other teams releases (compare and merge before each phase deployment).
- Maintain runbooks and release documentation. Required skills
- 4+ years in DevOps, with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).
- Scripting (Bash or Python) and Git branching and merge workflows.
- Monitoring tools and alert design.
- Working knowledge of AWS and Terraform pipelines. Nice to have
- Database change tooling (Liquibase or Flyway).
- Security scanning tools (Guardium or similar).
- Experience with PostgreSQL or CDC pipelines.
- Healthcare or regulated environments.
