About the Role


Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design and product development activities
• Design enclosures and ensure optimal thermal and mechanical performance
• Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and support product validation
• Collaborate closely with RD, Electrical, Production, Quality, and Service teams
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-efficient
• Drive continuous improvement in product design and engineering processes

Required Skills

• Mandatory: Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
• Preferred: AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
• Other 3D CAD/CAE tools

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute
• Additional certifications in mechanical design will be an advantage

Experience

• 08 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development
• Prior experience in power electronics, UPS, inverters, battery chargers, rectifiers, or industrial equipment manufacturing preferred
• Strong focus on practical design and development , not just drafting/documentation

• Timely completion of new product development projects

• Successful prototype-to-production conversion
• Cost optimization and design improvements
• Reduction in production/design-related issues
• Accuracy of engineering documentation
• Product reliability and manufacturability

Reporting

• Reports directly to Directors / Senior Management
