Technical Manager l-Steel Detailing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Structural Steel detailing projects.
• Review and approve models, shop drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and company standards.
• Lead constructability reviews and resolve complex technical issues.
• Mentor Team Leads, Detailers, Modelers, and Checkers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support successful project delivery.
• Participate in client technical meetings and coordination sessions.
• Manage RFIs, engineering revisions, reference models, and technical documentation.
• Support development of company detailing standards, templates, and workflows.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and technical consistency across projects.
• Stay current with industry standards, BIM technologies, and digital construction practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering, bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• More than 10-12 years of experience in Structural Steel detailing or VDC.
• Strong expertise in Tekla Structures and structural detailing workflows.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and resolving complex detailing challenges.
