Role Description The Technical Lead role at GoSharpener is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The Technical Lead will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the GoSharpener digital platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role includes leading a cross-functional engineering team, reviewing code, setting technical standards, and guiding architectural decisions. The Technical Lead will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate educational and sustainability requirements into robust technical solutions and new features. Daily responsibilities include managing development sprints, troubleshooting complex technical issues, coordinating with external partners or vendors when needed, and continuously improving platform performance and user experience. Key Responsibilities 1. Platform Ownership Own overall platform architecture and technical roadmap. Ensure platform availability, reliability, and performance. Maintain uptime SLAs and monitor system health. Conduct regular platform audits and optimization exercises. Identify and mitigate technical risks proactively. 2. Product Development Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Lead development of new platform features and modules. Review architecture and code quality standards. Manage release planning and deployment schedules. Drive continuous product improvements and innovation. 3. Testing & Quality Assurance Establish robust QA processes. Implement automated testing frameworks. Ensure feature releases are thoroughly tested before deployment. Monitor production issues and drive root-cause analysis. 4. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Manage Azure infrastructure and cloud resources. Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization. Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity mechanisms. Monitor application performance and security. 5. Infrastructure Migration & Scalability Evaluate infrastructure alternatives including AWS and hybrid environments. Lead cloud migration projects when required. Design scalable architecture for future growth. Ensure minimal downtime during migration activities. 6. Security & Compliance Implement application security best practices. Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation. Manage access controls and security policies. Support compliance requirements including data privacy regulations. 7. Team & Vendor Management Manage internal developers, freelancers, and external technology partners. Conduct code reviews and mentor engineering resources. Participate in hiring and capability building. Establish engineering processes and documentation standards. 8. Reporting & Stakeholder Management Provide monthly platform health reports. Present technology roadmap and recommendations to leadership. Collaborate closely with product, sales, and operations teams. Technical Skills Required Must Have 8+ years of software engineering experience. 3+ years leading technical teams or products. Strong experience with Azure Cloud, .NET Core / ASP.NET / PHP, ReactJS / Angular, SQL Server / PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Git-based workflows. Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, performance optimization, and security hardening. Preferred Experience migrating applications between Azure and AWS. Knowledge of AI/ML integrations. Experience in SaaS platforms. Experience serving education or school ecosystems. Familiarity with Microsoft startup ecosystem and cloud credits management.
